Covingtson, KY (AP) The newest organic grocery store to open in Cincinnati is called Covingtucky Organic Foods and is just two blocks from the Cincinnati Zoo and Cincinnati Public Library.
The Covingttenucky store opens Sept. 20, two months after opening in Columbus, Ohio.
The store sells organic, locally sourced products and is expected to sell about 20,000 to 30,000 pounds of fresh organic food per week, said Scott Hodge, the store’s director of sales and marketing.
The Covingtenucky store is in the former Covingtnucky Auto Parts warehouse.
Hodge said the store will be the third to open here in the past two years, the first coming in 2015.
The Cincinnati Zoo has a store there.
Covington is about 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of Cincinnati.
Hoyle said the location will also be able to cater to larger groups.
